I'm a teenager. If I could afford a Ric or an American Precision Deluxe, better believe I would, but until I can afford one, I'm afraid I shall not be playing American.
I'm from New Zealand and i have a Ric and a MIA Fender jazz V deluxe, but i also have basses from else where around the world.
Without sounding rude or offending anyone, the USA is not the only country in the world, and I think everyone would be proud to own something crafted from their own home country.
I do own basses MIA, but didn't choose to buy them because of that, I chose them because of sound, quality, feel/look, playability and availability.
I'm American, and I play any bass I like. I can"t tell you where most of mine were made and I don't really care.
And I'm not sure this entire thread has any point.
I made the poll pretty simplistic because that's really I was looking for. Kind of a "yes I do" or "no I don't" type of answer.
Add me to the "I'm an American and play whatever basses I like" group. Does not really matter to me WHERE it's made, it's how it plays and sounds that I care about![]()
