Do you spend more time on TB or practicing?

until I move to an office by myself, TB. As soon as I can get a bass into the office, I will be on that thing all day.

Absolutely more time on Talkbass.
I`m not ashamed to say it, but it`s true.

I can spend (or invest) short amounts of time on Talkbass while I`m at work or at home and I must play at least 30 minutes continuously to be productive with my basses.

I know, more Bass less Talk, right ?

Although I work from my home office so whenever I have a free minute I either look at TB or pick up the bass beside my desk to run some scales or have a noodle.

+1, even when I am home, I have to wait until the kids are in bed to get some practice done.

Ditto for me too. Time with the family first, then a little practice time to myself before I go to bed. Here at work I get on here now and then but not at home, but no way I can bring my bass to work.

Practicing now that I actually own a bass, prior to Friday it was all TB! Thanks to all that helped me though the "shopping" times for my first bass.

I practice a good amount, but I spend lots of time on TB. Why? Can't play bass on the job, but they cain't stop me from surfing TB, I feel that have decent enough experience that I can help people out, as a boutique player and 6 stringer I feel the need to debunk the usual BS, and sometimes I have questions. Let's face it, there probably isn't a more comprehensive source for info.

It's easier to get on the computer than it is to go downstairs and practice when you have children. I practice once they go to sleep.

I voted Talkbass. I am on during the day at work - I browse between lessons and rehearsals.

TB, but only because of the nature of TB, being on the computer and all. I can't eat yogurt & cereal in the morning while practicing, but can read TB. It's also my homepage, so everytime I go onto the internet (at home), I automatically get sucked in.

Plus, when I practice, I like to have a dedicated amount of practice time, at least 30 minutes; just like running. Sure, I can run a total of 4 miles in 50 yard sections throughout the day, or all at once.

Honestly... I think my ratio would be 60% practice and 40% TalkBass participation.

I'm in the can't practice at work, but can definitely check the interwebs camp.

Maybe someone needs to develop a bass with a midi device that you can use to type and control your mouse. That way you can play music AND work for those without a music related job.

about even, since i am playing at college for about 2 hours a day minimum and at least 1-2 hours at home while on TB and whenever i am on the computer.
