Double Bass do you use any effects on your solid body EUB?

I've been dabbling a little with delay, recently. That and reverb can be fun with lines that are sparse enough.
Maybe I should try adding some phaser, especially for arco.
If you're looking for inspiration and you have effects on hand, I'll suggest just trying stuff. The more unexpected and/or stupid it seems, the more interesting the results are likely to be.

I use several pedals with my NS Design NXT:
- EBS MicroBass II preamp
- Broughton HPF DI
- TC El Polytune
- EBS Dynaverb
- TC Spark Booster
- Eden GlowPlug
I have a Tech21 SansAmp that I use with my Palatino VE-500, it allows me to compensate for the honk that comes from the piezo pickup, and adds some gain to the signal that works well with the style my band plays. I also have a delay pedal upstream of the SansAmp that adds a bit of body to the signal. Another plus with the SansAmp is the built in DI interface, the sound guys at the clubs we play really appreciate that.
I have a Fender Studio 40 modeling amp combo, and fixed up my old Palatino to play around with it. I always used to just plug straight in, I didn't even use preamps because i thought they were noisy, so all of this stuff is new to me. First, the "acoustisonic" amp model is tuned up for piezos and it does some magic trick with compression or something where bow and pizz is the same volume, and sounds clean and good. In addition to the compression and the fancy amp model, the noise gate is good, because EUBs with piezos are noisy little monkeys. Then, a small-hall reverb, dialed down a bit, sounds really nice. For different pizz styles, their is an "acoustic sim" overlay which gives you three levels of creak and boom to choose from if you want to really emulate the sound od a true DB. When i use the 3 setting, it really does sound like my old DB plugged into an amp, which is neat.
To my ears, this stuff all sounds pretty good, and if i were still playing church, music theater, and pops gigs today, I might actually prefer an EUB with this digital stuff to a proper DB. I am interested to get into the weird stuff the amp has to offer, that might sound cool with a bow, but I'm still just impressed at how just plain good I'm able to get the Palatino sounding with this new digital magics.
