Does a 34" scale 6 string with 3/4 spacing exist?

I'm looking to find a 34" scale 6 string with 3/4 spacing. So far, nearly every 6 I've come across has been a 35" scale and very few have 3/4 spacing. If you know of any that fit the criteria, please share.

Price is not a big thing for me and electronics are not really important either. However, I'd rather not have to hire a luthier to build the bass as I'd like to wind up with it in the very near future (one of the reasons I'm looking for this has to do with reducing the stress on my wrists and this needs to happen fast).

Mine's about 18.8mm.

Which wrist do you think this will help, and how?

I think there are quite a lot of 19mm and 20mm spaced 6's out there. Warwick broadneck 5's and 6's are far too wide for my liking.

I've heard it said that a thicker neck with narrow spacing is better on the left hand for endurance and long-gig comfort, even though a thin neck with wide spacing is easier to play at first. My change from this Miruzzi 6's string to a Warwick (non broadneck) 5 certainly fits this theory.

Pertaining to my wrist, I'm trying to lighten the load on my right wrist. I've done a lot with technique to try easing the strain, including guidance from my chiropractor. However, when we get up to 3-4 four hour shows in back to back weeks my wrist starts to give out. I'm on a regular maintenance schedule with the chiropractor and ice after gigs with an anti-inflammatory before. However, with my current Modulus Quantum 6, and main bass, being 35 inch I do notice a difference when I switch to my 34 inch scale Jazz four string. The spacing issue is more for me to accommodate my sausage fingers as I like the spacing on my Jazz as well.

Warwick Broad Neck 6's are 34" scale, but have 20mm string spacing. I believe you can adjust the spacing to 19mm, but you still have a significantly wide profile neck, but you are going to have that in any 6 string with 3/4 string spacing. Plus those broad neck Warwicks feel and sound very good. I had a 6er Thumb B.O. Broadneck that I installed a Sadowsky Onboard Preamp, and it was awesome. Wish I had it back!

I'll have to give those Warwicks a look. The Yamaha looks interesting as well if I can track one down to try. Thanks for those suggestions.

One of the main reasons for the 34" scale is to reduce the string tension and reduce some of the work my right hand is doing. I'm also interested in a 6 with the feel of my Jazz 4. To me, lessening the tension feels a bit more slap happy well as a bit more organic.

However, David1234 has sent me a PM regarding some tips on my right hand technique after viewing some pics on my band's site. I'm going to give them a shot and see if they help, (they were some really helpful observations).

With that being said, if I can lighten the load on my right hand I may be able to help myself in multiple ways. The string spacing has more to do with my big fingers and liking the spacing on my Jazz 4 string over the tiny 17mm spacing on my Modulus 6 and 5.

Please share if you have more thoughts.
