The 410 HLF sounds great with tube heads. Spend some time adjusting your EQ. I use two 410HE cabs. They used to come in 4 and 8 ohm versions. Maybe you can find one in 4 ohms.
Yep and he's really good about replying to PMs too. If you want to judge Ampeg customer service by Hodgy's they are as good as anyone.

I never had a problem with Psycho Bass Guy (I enjoyed him) but he rubbed someone the wrong way too many times. I just want to see your smiling face around for as long as we both can.

PBG earned a permanent ban. Never did find the posts that did it, they were more than likely deleted.

I don't remember his name. I don't think i've really seen him at all since I became an active member here, so a couple of years.
Hodgy seems like a stand up guy. It's a pity he didn't help out in those pf and pro 7 threads and offer an explanation as to why there are so many of the amps cutting out
Um, there are two reasons why those amps cut out:
1. Thermal shutdown from someone cranking them insano
2. Broken
It ain't rocket science to figure that out.
Well I think he only works on their Heritage SVTs so, if I had to guess as to why he wouldn't say something (assuming he saw the thread) it would be because he doesn't know. But given my experience with him if someone PM'd him about it I'd be surprised if he didn't respond.
If they're listening I can't wait until they finally put rails on the back of their cabs. My 410hlf is the biggest pita to get up and down steps. Granted the size doesn't help but the back wheels aren't cutting it and get hung up on each step. It's the only cab I have that needs a separate cart to load in & out.
