About the Dean Razor Deluxe?

I just got a 5 string one a few months ago and it sounds amazing but only cost about $500 used. I wonder if there is any real downside to the thing. It also looks beautiful too.

I really like the look of those. Almost bought one for my wife a year or so ago, when she was looking for a pretty, lightweight, inexpensive 5 stringer.
