I've been looking for a device to make live gig recordings of my band...the Zoom F8 field recorder seems ideal. I'm currently reading and watching reviews etc. but just thought I'd ask here on the off chance that anyone at TB has experience with it.

OK, upon doing more research it seems that the F8 only has 2 outputs, so you can't hook it up to your computer and dump all 8 tracks into the DAW. It may be possible to painstakingly go one track at a time and then manually sync them up on the computer, or to just mix them on the F8. Does anyone have experience with making good gig recordings? I realize I won't be able to get commercial-quality, but I have been using the Zoom H1 and would like to step the quality up without buying a full-blown laptop rig.
