Does anyone know who this Bass player is?

Like a lot of us who grew up with Olivia Newton John, I have been watching more of her Videos.

"Please Mr Please" has always been a song that just felt special then, and even more today.

I have not seen this live video before and I would like to know who the Bass player is and who is backing her up?

Robert "Pops" Popwell (Crusaders, George Benson, Rascals) | Know Your Bass Player

Robert Pops Popwell was a very busy bass player in the seventies and eighties with the Crusaders and studio sessions, any record he played on will always have a serious groove. Pops also had one of my favorite bass tones with that Red Precision Bass with a J added, his bass had a 3 way switch.

shoot that looks more like a tele pup than a jazz

It's the Markie Post style. Popular back in the 80's. :)

Seems I should have included a photo, as Googling her images will result in a variety of looks over time.

Now, settle down boys. Googling her images too much will make you go blind.

Can you imagine Olivia showing up in Grease in that outfit on the right? It would've been game over, man.

Sadly, Cancer took Markie from us recently, as well. :(
