I'm thinking you could park it in sunlight for a few months to see if the finish would sun-bleach to a more even look.

I think if you stripped it down to just the body, that might work.

On the other hand, I would just play it as is. It's a pretty sweet looking bass, tan lines or no.

If it where me, I would try and get hold of a 3M product called “finesse it” its a hand buffing compound for the auto market, that starts off quite aggressively and breaks down as you rub to reasonably fine, kind of does three grits in one leaving a decent gloss. But I would try it in an inconspicuous spot first, just to see how deep the yellowing goes.

It's kinda weird cool. Put some sunblock SPF 80 on the yellowed bits and stick it in a tanning bed for a while. (I am joking, but...you never know what will happen.)
