Does anyone use a kick back style Amp?

Had and used an Ampeg BA112, that kicked back. Currently use and love a Genz-Benz The model could be an Intro 50. The speaker is great, flexible sounding. Does the B15S I had count as a tilt back? You could insert a rod in the back and tilt it back.

For my small room, quiet stage rig, I use a pair of custom built 1x10's. One was bult as an 'airhead' amd stores my little GK head. That one has an access cover on the back that seves as a 90 wedge to kick back the top 10. In some louder, larger spaces, I'll just use the top cab and kick it back in front of and to the side of me. I'm almost always in the PA. I really prefer to run a larger cab (12.6 + 12 sub sometimes) and get further away from it so I can hear it. Still the little 10" stack gets a lot of use.

I have a Fender Rumble 75 that is amazingly good sounding. One 12" woofer in a 'kick-back' monitor style cab. Has a Hi-Z line out, so you can plug into a mixer that way. It is quite loud for 75 watts and you can jam with a drummer, but just bearly enough. Still it is an excellent practice amp in it's own right, and unbeatable at the $250 price point new with a full 5 year warranty. Mine is over a year old without a single problem. Do yourself a favor and audition one.

I have an Ampeg BA115 that tilts back. 100 Watts and a really nice sound, XLR out, the style switch gives it some nice versatility of tone.

+1 I've been using mine for years. Has never failed me, not once. Its everything I've ever needed for rehearsals and small to medium sizes gigs. From main to monitor.

I use a Markbass CMD 2x10 combo with the kickback. 350 watts/500 with an extension cab.

The Hartke KickBack 12 was a favorite for years. The contour control was awesome and it projected beautifully.

I own the Kickback 10, (old model) and that thing is very loud considering it has a 10 inch - 120 watts configuration. I've played small - medium gigs without a problem.

Thanks for all the thoughts....I believe that tonight at practice I am going to use my Ampeg BA112 instead of the loner Ibanez 100 watt kick back. I am partial to the ampeg's sound anyhow. I don't know how it will fair with our drummer but I am willing to give it a shot.

At gigs it is a no-brainer, given that I am always put through the pa.

All combo's tilt back when you put a beer mug under the front edge. I made a cardboard foldup wedge ala Markbass's 40 dollar one. It travels in the port.
