Does Fret size matter?

I'm well aware that all of the parts on a particular Bass has an impact on it's tone; I've been "tinkering" around with "upgrades" and builds for quite some time now BUT, I gotta ask: Does the size of the frets in ANY way affect the actual tone of a Bass, or is fret size just a matter of feel/comfort? Thanks. ... sorry if it sounds like a "newbie" question. :D
I think it does when comparing extremes. I mean there are so many size frets that small differences aren’t going to make a huge different in sound or feel. But I personally like smaller frets like I have on my Dingwall or what was on the conklin I had. I believe they are banjo frets.

How about a combination of fret sizes and materials?

Yeah, Wood really looks like a typical violinist playing a typical violin.... :roflmao:
But anyway, I'm glad he likes his frets and I'm glad he uses them so well. Why not?
There are always exceptions to the norm, didn't you know that?
And the term "good sound" is only a relative term if one uses it specially. Otherwise it's just a general remark that folks are expected to interpret as they choose...
