I'm ordering a new L2000 to my specs, and I thought I remembered reading that G&L offered the K-wiring as an option. It' not listed on their site, does anyone know if they do in fact offer this?

Does G&L offer K-wiring as an option?

there's a few things not listed on their site. like the sb-1 being back in the catalogue. i'd imagine they still offer the K-wiring option. what specs have you chosen for your L-2000?
Its looking like a #8 neck (preferably ebony but I keep reading that it's been discontinued. anyone know?), greenburst finish w/ natural binding and matching headstock. I'd like to see the K-wiring in there for sure if it's an option.
ebony is still listed as an option for a fretboard on their website. as well as quartersawn maple necks, birdseye maple fretboard, stainless steel medium-jumbo or vintage frets. there's plenty of options.
I'm quite sure the K option is still available, but you have to insist. Some dealers and distributors don't know about it and will tell you repeatedly that it's not available.
Turns out they do offer it. Just put in the order for a shiny new L2000 with #8 neck, ebony fretboard, stainless steel medium jumbo frets, K-wiring, and my favorite part, the greenburst finish with wood binding and matching headstock. Wait time: approx 12 weeks. My birthday: approx 12 weeks. Can't wait to see it.
