Lots of tech jargon on their site that I can't seem to parse with my rudimentary knowledge of terms. I'm essentially looking for a headphone practice amp that preferably has a 1/8 input for CD/MP3 that doesn't need me to convert anything and I can just plug my bass and headphones in and practice to recordings. I already own a couple Vox Amplugs, but was looking for something a little more long term than their construction can promise and that was more or less flat EQ wise, but can handle whatever I throw at the instrument inputs bass wise.
Do they even make one that I can plug a bass and MP3 direct into and just play along to that is halfway decent sounding and I don't have to worry about clipping, etc? I'm open to other suggestions that come in under $100 and are comparable in size. I am capable of building a headphone amp if anyone has a reliable schematic (drawn for the layman...none of those shoots&ladders jobbers that are meant for professionals), and direct links to specific parts and where to source them. I don't really have much time to dedicate toward that, hence the thread, but any input is appreciated and I can always make it a slow moving project. Thanks in advance for the suggestions!
I suppose if running an xlr direct from my amps DI to one is a possibility, there's that as long as it will accept MP3...but which one?
