Does string noise make a big deal in a band context?

I had my Euro 4 strung with Swing Bass 66's (45-65-85-105) which I absolutely LOVE.

You can certainly hear a bit of my hands if I'm moving around a lot, though.

My other basses have flats which... while they don't make string noise, they also... don't sound like rounds.

Obviously I can practice to make it a little less obvious, but I'm just curious what people's thoughts are. I realize pressurewound is a thing, but I really do like the Swing Bass 66's and I'd hate to change unless it was something that was going to be a major problem?

If you LOVE the sound of SB66, there is no substitute. Finger noise is rarely a problem in a live band context when you're rockin' hard anyway.

(I do use GHS Pressurewounds only because I'm allergic to finger noise. )

If you use a lot of treble, it might get a little irritating, but those noises aren’t too noticeable, and what noise you can hear is what lets people know you’re playing a bass and not a synth.
