Does the cabinet your using make you look more professional?

Me neither. I think a little bleed is good, and this soundman quest to make sure that nary a sound escapes from the stage is a giant waste of time.
Just cannot remember the last time I saw a rider for any Pro band that did NOT specify an AMPEG SVT-810 cab as the #1 choice or as a backup. Yes that would look silly in a jazz club.
Yea, so all the young guys playing for the door in small venues should haul one around and those who don't look unprofessional. And just bc it's in a rider doesn't mean it's actually necessary or more professional looking. It's a relic that continues to stick mostly for psychological reasons.
810 svt would be great. My svt3 pro and 410 does look sharp but I don't know if it looks more professional, I played with an old trace 250 combo (??) And boy did that thing sound sweet, but man was it uuuugly. My current rig gotta be an improvement

I generally agree with the first, disagree with the second. I think I'm a old geezer(53), I have no problem moving my Mesa Powerhouse 1200 by myself.
I do think young players, especially dudes, equate size with cool/pro factor. So I'm not sure they would take a smaller or adequate rig as often as an older individual even if they had it. I still fall prey to that myself - 3 very adequate combo amps but I just hate leaving home with less than a 4X10 and the Ampeg SVT head. Which gets turned to 3.5 if no FOH support, 1 with FOH, in most cases. But many young players can only afford one rig and when they upgrade they go bigger, just in case. It's like my "home defender" shotgun - it holds eight 12 ga shells - one or two shells should be adequate for all but a zombie apocalypse but why not make sure you're covered.
I consulted with my wife the schoolteacher - "proper grammar in subject titles does". I have been forced into one-on-one remedial sessions with her until I get that right. the old geezer comment was slightly tongue in cheek.
it does apply to some older people and younger people, not everyone is born with the strength or desire/heart to haul heavy objects.
I work with a keyboard player who's in his early 70, he hauls a B-3, Leslie 147 (sometimes two), Wurli e piano, 88 key Roland something, his own powered monitors.
he gigs constantly and only needs a hand with getting his B-3 on the stage and in his truck.
we're whining about 1 8x10, lol
Ya, no kidding! Wish our keyboard player would start hauling a B3. I'm in the minority with that opinion

If you ever get paid to run sound for another band Jimmy then get back to me about how awesome it is.
While I do not gig that often, I get the sense that sound guys feel relieved when I come with 1 or 2 12's (and the band with equally small equipment).

I know MM is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better at this than me and also much more particular about how he does his job. I also know that he is a pro and I always listen to his advise. That said, we use 58s and E935s and me and the guitard both have big ol' tube stacks and to my admittedly untrained ears, the vocals eminating from my top boxes sound pretty good.
Of course I'm sure if MM or WalterW or one of these guys came down and ran sound for me once, I would be ruined for life. lol
