This is the LPB version of a Jazz from a seller in Japan...

If you look at the headstock, the decals look right, at least to me. They also have a red and black version available. No decals except "Fender" on the headstock (???). Is this real? Legit Fender Japan?

The black one looks exactly like mine (including decal on headstock, 75th icon on back) which I bought from here:

I love the bass. I got it from a place closer to home and paid more for convenience and peace of mind since easier to return if any problems, but I see a bunch on EBay not too far off that price, just wasn't sure if I wanted to ship overseas and deal with potential tariffs too.

It's an awesome bass, sounds and plays great with nice light weight and fast neck. Looks like great quality. I had a hard time making up my mind on which color, they all look great. I think I might like read the best but they only had black and the blue color and I already have another blue bass.

I love mine, I put on GHS precision flats to do more Motown type stuff on this particular bass, but it was excellent with the round wounds it comes with.

I don't know how much work the shop did on mine, but right out of the box it was set up great, just had to do a tiny tweak on intonation when I changed the strings, and I like a very low action so I lowered that a bit as well.

One thing, it has two little holes under the sticker on the pick guard for a finger rest. But it doesn't come with the finger rest and the holes don't go through the body so you can't easily fit one without drilling. I actually put a Fender Moto guitar pick right over one of the holes with a piece of double-sided tape and it looks pretty cool.

I became interested in the bass after I saw this awesome demo:
