I have a Pbass pickup I ordered and installed, and I have tried several wiring scenarios, and have not gotten a proper sound out of it. Its like one coil is dead, and I have done a reading, and one is 5.7K the other reads nothing. Is this a dead pickup or what? Thanks Guys

Does this mean its a dud pickup?

The coil with no reading is dead. There is a chance it can be fixes if the trailing end of the magnet wire broke. If not that it can be rewound.
