After a long search, I remembered this week that one of our band's best clients is also in the insurance business, so I called him. He referred me to a colleague, who put me in touch with K and K Insurance Company of Fort Wayne, IN. They have specialized in event, entertainment and sports insurance for some time now. Their customer service was great, they got my policy in place in less than 24 hours, and it covers the whole band, including our sound guy, for $500 a year. They have limits on the types of bands they insure, but if you are a jazz guy or you play a lot of private and corporate events, then you should give them a call. Here is their application
