Dogal strings available in U. S.

Many bassists ask me where to get Dogal strings. I use the Jaco flat wounds on my basses but they also make round wounds. They are my absolute favorite & I've tried a lot of strings. Anyone from TB that wants to try them can contact:

Last time (in 2002) i tried a set of Dogal Carbonsteel (roundwound), for 5 strings, they turned out to SUCK in an unbelievable way compared to what they used to be some years before..........

Have you experienced that now they can be "usable" ? .....

I only use the Jaco flats. I've no experience with their roundwounds. The flats sound better than any others I've tried. I've used & am using on certain instruments GHS, EB, D'addarrio, Sadowsky, TI, LaBella, Carvin & others. One of the things I don't like about round wounds is the sound. I don't like how good ones sound, much less how bad ones sound. Round wounds have the capacity to go dead, even still in the box....like milk or something. I used to live in Hawaii where they last about a month so I got out of using them. I certainly cannot comment on the sound of their round wounds. The Jacos are expensive, no doubt. If you're a flat wound player I think you'll love them. My opinion.
