Mind you, that will dull your skills somewhat but I'm sure you'll feel fine.
Actually according to a lot of patients, she'll feel better than he will. I never understood how donating an organ is somehow harder to cope with, than receiving an organ. But that is just what I've heard several times from patients.
That is just awesome...if there is such a thing as Karma, you should have good things coming back to you in spades!

I'd like to think that I would do the same for one of my sisters if it were necessary....
So I've been prep-ing for the last few months to be able to give my sister a kidney. She had a really bad case of pneumonia when she was 16 that did a number on her kidneys, and they finally failed a few years ago. After she had been on a donor list for a while with no luck, I figured why not give her mine?
So I'm going to tomorrow morning. It's going to be a boring few days in the hospital, and there's no way to access the internet, so no TB for me for a few days. Bummer.
Anyway, wish me luck, and I'll talk to you guys in a few days!

I really wish I'd seen this last night. You're doing an incredible, wonderful thing for your sister.
