Donner Alpha Acoustic with acoustic bass

So I have an acoustic gig coming up in late September and I've already ordered this unit to try and minimize my acoustic rig. The videos I've seen with guitar sound really nice for the price and I'm just curious if anyone has used this with bass.

In the past I've just used my GED 2112 rack unit with chorus + reverb in the drive channel FX loop, blend @ 0% for cleans and it sounds really nice. I would just rather be able to take this small unit and my tuner and run straight into the PA from the XLR out on the Donner. One video mentions that the "Level" control on the chorus of this unit is actually a blend knob, which alleviates my concern of losing too much low end. Any thoughts? Thanks.
