Name for a Doors tribute/coverband???

I see a variation on one of my ideas made the list! (thru the doors) And I still like "Stormers on the Ride."

I voted for "Light My Fire," the best of your list IMO, but I think you should consider more ideas before settling on one (or... for one..?). I would have voted carrots if it were an option. "Light My Fire" is pretty good, but it's not real catchy.

Sorry :hmm:

Hey Chris, yes I did think your Through The Doors had significant merit.

Personally, I'm leaning towards Light My Fire as well. As Stumbo mentioned its a title associated with the Doors that is fairly well known and will certainly help in terms of marketing the band... which of course has to be a huge priority.

But I agree its not as poetic as I'd like. I still prefer Paisely Skies and Universal Mind in terms of creative band names.

I'll reserve those for future use.

Thanks. Actually my idea was "In through the Doors" which I think is a little better for some reason. It's like you got "in" through The Doors, not just "thru [a] door." But what does my opinion matter??? :p

I agree "Light my Fire" has great association value, just trying to think of a way to make it catchier without losing what it has... "Light my Fire InDoors"?? FireDoors ... Doors of Light ...

Hey, I'm very intrigued by your project, please keep us posted on how it's progressing. Have fun and good luck!!

My $0.02 - Dead Doors

Is "Rain" (the original tribute band IMO), a reference to the Beatles? If not, then you are pretty much open to anything.

Others: Clouds, Mystic Fire, Frame the Doors, The Mystic Doors,

I'm kinda liking "Mystics and Men" a little bit more. It's catchy.
And I think memorable. Actually I think it would be a good name for any band.
