Double Bass Player

    Hello - I've played electric bass for 10 years, but i started double bass about a year ago, and its taken over my playing. I play in the mid-missouri community orchestra and im working on a bit of solo rep as well. I've lurked here for quite some time but i figured its time to actually make an account. I'm a system admin by day, and the rest of my time i spend playing, composing, and reading about music.

    Always thought there would be a double bass in my kit, but, alas looks like that is not going to happen.

    Welcome - upright is contagious isn't it? There's no other instrument missed more, when its not there. I learned to play a DB first, then added BG. Next, start thinking about an EUB...
