Double-Duty Mini Rig?

...so I ended up exceeding my budget by about 400. I ended up springing for a Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout.

It's a helluva amp, gents, a helluva amp. Hamdles guitar surprisingly well, too - very clean, as one might expect, but that's nothing a dirt pedal or two won't resolve.

Nice choice- I use my Walkabout Scout for occasional guitar use (mostly acoustic) and really love it!

this is very much my situation, in my current group I double on guitar/slab bass and after a lot of research I found an awesome solution for this:

EA Micro (550) > Bag End s15-B. If you go with the used market you can find a S15 for around $300 and maybe a Micro (300) for around $300-$400

this works for all my needs this can easily be LOUD and handle no PA support outside shows

other known price conscious solutions... both of these kick ass but I wanted a 2 channel solution

the original double guitar/upright/slab bass workhorse

then a med-big money options
acoustic image combos or just the head with cab of choice of that gets a bit pricey

polytone I believe are up and running again

and another less known company to me states their products are similar to polytone but warmer... I've never heard them personally
