Yesterday I went to see Doug Wimbish to a Clinic or a Gignic as he calls them. Firstly it was amazing I've heard hiom play with Living Colour but man oh man he is so entertaining.
You can see his board below, now I will go through each effect and how he used it but before I get comments on how messy his board is a few years ago he had his entire board stolen and the reason it was so easy for it to be stolen was it was a single unit that could just be packed away and walked off with, the rug he uses is quite easy to setup and he wraps the pedals on top of each other hence the dents and such and then puts them in a suitcase. The rug is quite difficult to fold up and move on your own. So that is the reason for this.

He played a stunning set and answered loads of questions all about how he got started and such.
His pedals are as follows all wired in series
Tech 21 Sansamp into a Pigtronix Disnortion into a Digitech Whammy into a Normal Dunlop Guitar Crybaby into a Boss BF2 (MIJ) into a Dod FX25 into a Digitech Synth Wah (Not a Bass one) into a Boss Digital Sampler/Delay 2 (DSD-2) into a Boss DD-3 into a Digitech Digiverb into a Boss DD-6 Stereo out to a Line 6 DL4 and then into a Stereo Ernie Ball Volume Pedal with the Tuner out going to a Korg PX4B. He also had a Lexicon Jamman for his looking that was resting on top of his trace rig.

Best bit is I took my board and got to the gignic early and met him in the bar, I'd met him previously as he'd given me tickets to Living Colour so for about 30mins before anyone arrived he played through my board and man my pedals have never sounded so good, he was massively impressed with everything on there:

This is Doug Wimbish with my, well now his Bass Analogue Filter 442 in a Blue Sparkle guitar case, he loved it so much I had to let him take it, he nearly had my entire board away.
No I'm still not a Tone Factor Endorser or anything just giving a guy whose music I love a pedal that I love and putting him in touch with what I feel is the best custom pedal company around.
