that guitar clamp mounted across the entire bridge looks like an invitation for unwanted vibrations too. i like the violin mount because it can go small enough to attach to a bunch of different locations, including the bridge if you want to use the foam like in one of the pics i posted. for me so far that has been the best location, although the afterlengths with foam have been pretty good too. i just got a crazy idea. a friend of mine has an H-clamp. what if i wrap the end of the H clamp in foam to get rid of vibration, and zip tie or rubber band this mic to that? that way i can pretty much put it anywhere i want and i wont have to worry about vibrations from the bridge or tailpiece either. it seems that doing this might defeat the purpose of it having its own clamp, but the mic is so good in its own right that even if it had no clamp and if it were larger and you had to use it with a stand id say it would still be worth it. ill post pics and results when i get access
