DPDT question

I ordered a DPTT on on on switch but the company sent me a DPDT on on on switch.. I believe its DPDT because it only has 6 (pins).. A DPTT switch would have 8 right?

Will this DPDT switch work with my Bartolini XXP25C pickups, for the Parallel/Single Coil/Series configuration?

I don't want to return the switch if I don't need to...

A DP3T switch is actually a 4PDT On-On-On, with the addition of external jumper wires, like this:

If you are trying to do Series/Single/Parallel switching, all you need is a DPDT On-On-On switch.
The switch you have should work fine.

No it won't. See below

Edit - DPDT only has 2 positions. I am trying to word this without sounding like a school master, but failing miserably. I am sure it is just a typo on your part.

Edit 2 - You need something like a C&K 7411 series for the circuit that line6man shows above.

A DPDT On-On-On switch has three positions.

The middle position is split, like this:
