Dr black beauties, who likes them?

Decided to try some myself, I really like them on my partscaster - they have just the right amount of growl when I play with a pick. They look awesome too, so there's that.
Is that an aluminum neck? How stable is it during significant temperature changes?
It is indeed, and it's very stable. Sudden temperature changes will cause it to go out of tune fast, but once it's acclimated, just retune and it's rock solid. I've picked it up after leaving it alone for a week and it was still dead-on.
I had one experience with a black beauty, nearly 50 years ago. Never went near one again!
Im really digging these strings, they are very forgiving on unintentional hand noise and very low on overtones!
Im trying these on my Ibanez SR505. Interesting strings I must say. The coating definitely smoothes things out which is nice while playing. They sound and feel very close to Fat Beams which is another good string. Im not sure which is brighter but they are very close. It seems like all DR strings I've tried have a similar quality of being very nice sounding almost to a fault. Now that ive officially played on everything they offer aside from the flats I can make that claim. Very clean sounding and can be dialed in many different ways. These arent quite like other stainless strings. Most of the competition seems to sound more gritty for some reason Im rambling trying to explain. While not as aggressive sounding as Im used to I can't really complain. They sound good, feel good, look cool so id recommend them and buy them again.

Tried'em, don't like'em. The coating makes them sort-of stick to the fingers more. Absolutely incompatible with my technique.
E.g. Was working on J. Dart's "Lost my treble.." at the time of testing the set. It is impossible to articulate and correctly phrase the piece with the strings on. Same instrument, non-coated strings, same gauge, the music works like a charm... They just stick to the plucking finger a tad longer then necessary imho.
