DR Black Beauties

I have had the same thing happen every time i put the G string on my sterling. It would just keep slipping out of the tunner. I dont know why it happens though. Glad to hear its not just me.
 
No but the peg shaft on my Hipshot D-tuner cut through the windings, which then slid off the core of the string. Thus unable to keep in tune. Good job it happened in rehearsal.

It's now clear why other string manufacturers have widely spaced windings and/or silk wraps on the end of the strings so this doesn't happen.
