DR Heartfield bass

I’ve always wondered if the older Brice Prestige Z6 was basses were made in the same place as the DRs? The basses appear nearly identical, although the Z6s were neck-through. They were imported by Rondo Music in the early 2000’s

Is that your Brice? I absolutely love my Z6. I use it as a backup/alternative bass to my Peavey Cirrus 6. It is a super solid instrument, albeit very heavy and considerable neck dive; I still enjoy playing it and getting those deep bass tones.

Not the exact Z6 I had, but the same thing. I loved that bass, just wished it was fretless … sold it when I funded a custom 6 build ..,

Those Z6s were korean made right? the Heartfield stuff was all MIJ to my knowledge. Those Z6s look much more similar to the Ibanez SR1206s from the 90s (not the indo premium models but the original ones):

SR1206 (1994–1996)
