DR Legends for $38 CAD? Yes please!

Legends have quickly become my fave flat wound - though I do love the tight feel of chromes on my fretless.

I noticed that there was a Amazon warehouse version of Legends last time I was shopping for kid junk - the packaging was advertised as less than perfect.

I saved $20 because the side flap was open!!! Score!!!

Fml. It's a scam.

There are used round wounds in here.

There have been posts here and there by people who had the same experience.

Someone buys a new set of strings from Amazon and subsequently returns the same package with old strings in it for a refund. People at Amazon in turn put it back in stock for resale as "damaged package" without checking what's inside. A familiar story...

I Use Amazon warehouse a lot for strings. Been burned a couple times. Most are great though. Got a babicz bridge once but the package had a cheap import bent metal in it. Hasn't swayed me though. $12 DR lo-riders keep me coming back.

Sorry people suck and wasted your time with this one.

So while we are on the topic, what are DR legends like anyway. I like flats, but have a hard time finding the right ones. Not overly dull or overly bright, not high tension or stiff, but not floppy either:)
Labella 760fl's get to dull and scooped, Chromes to stiff, etc

I got them on a used fretless dean for the first time. This bass had been passed around quite a bit, but the strings were smooth and had more spring in them than the chromes on my SB-2.

I ordered a set and have them on the sb-2 and new out of the box they were not as polished, but the tone was amazing! Not nearly as scooped sounding to me as the chromes.

The chromes went on the deaner where they have settled in nicely. It's semi hollow so the extra tension gives a nice little bump in acoustic volume.

but I was going to put this errant set on the fretless again to see if I love them.

I play only d'addario on all my baby guitars.
