DR Marcus Miller Fat Beams alternative

I was recently playing gigs and record on Double Bass for some time, now I am going back to bass guitar as well.
Time to change strings (after something like 2 years). I loved DR Marcus Miller signature strings. But now it seems, like they do not produce them anymore. Shops either do not have them in offering or they are unavailable.
What would you recommend as best alternative? I am looking for .45 or .50 for 4 string bass. I do not slap, but that strings had very nice sound and feeling under the fingers.

I just put Fat Beams on my J build. Is there a difference with the MM signature model?

Are there other series of Fat-Beams available? I cannot find them either.

Fatbeams are still available. Nothing has changed, Marcus just doesn't endorse them anymore. He is with Dunlop strings now and has a Marcus Miller Super Bright signature set with them.

Not sure if you're in Canada or the U.S. or elsewhere but you can order FatBeams easily if you're in North America. BassStringsOnline would be an easy choice.

The MM Fatbeams had a .80 A string I believe. Standard Fatbeams have a .85. I have a set on my 62 Jazz. They sound great!

If you want to match exactly the gauges of the old MM set, it's now listed under "custom", 45-65-80-105.

I'm a big fan of the FatBeams as well, but I think the Super Brights are even better.

Nice strings, very different from Fat Beams IMO. As far as I know FB's are still available. I last ordered some in March. I don't know what I'd use as an alternative... I really like them.

Agree with Brad, these two strings are very different. I'd say the Dunlops are more aggressive than the Fats - rougher on the fingers as well.

No lack of aggressiveness on my basses. I used my old Fodera Emperor 5 last night with a set of Fat Beams that have been on it a few weeks and played by several people. The difference to me besides the feel is the overall punch advantage I give to the Fat Beams. Very important to me. Last night I did way more slapping than I normally do and my bass sounded vicious, nailing the 70's Jazz vibe in a big way, even with fingerstyle. It was crazy.

Hi, i got a set of DR marcus miller a while back and I noticed a difference, also there is a video where Ed Friedland explains the difference between fat beams and marcus miller sig.
when I first got them i noticed a scooped tone.

does anyone know if it is the same case with the new dunlop MM sig?
