Dream Band

My dream acoustic/newgrass band:

Chris Thile - mandolin, vocals
Sean Watkins - guitar, vocals
Sara Watkins - violin, vocals
Edgar Meyer - upright
Bela Fleck - banjo

Nickel Creek qualifies as a dream band already, and adding Meyer and Fleck would allow them to rule the world!

Dead:
vocals: Jim Morrison & Elvis
lead guitar - Jimi Hendrix
rhythm guitar - Stevie Ray Vaughan
bass - Jaco
drums -John Bonham
piano - Billy Preston

Living:
Vocals: Joss Stone & Chris Cornell
Lead guitar: John Mayer
Rhythm guitar: Rich Robinson
Bass: Flea
Drums: Taylor Hawkins
Piano/B3: Joey DeFrancesco
Horn Section: Tower of Power
Harmonica: John Popper

vocals - Steve Arrington
lead guitar -John Scofield
rhythm guitar - Keith Richards
bass - Percy Jones
drums - Keith Moon
piano- Keith Jarrett

ha, you could almost call them "The Keiths"

for me... I'd reunite the Beatles or Pink Floyd, heh...

or from a more realistic point of view:
Keyboards: Eddie Stevens (Moloko)
Bass: Tom Jenkinson (Squarepusher)
Drums: Jojo Mayer (Nerve)
Guitars: John Frusciante (RHCP) / Johnny Greenwood (Radiohead)
Vox: Mike Patton (Faith no More and others)

I guess they would be able to come up with some new, experimental music, while making it listenable :P or not...

Vocals: Tom Waits
Alto Sax: Paul Desmond
Bari sax: Dana Colley
Bass: Percy Heath
Piano: Dave Brubeck
Drums: Joe Morello( or Alex Acuña)
For jazz anyway. I dont know about the horns though.

You have a hell of a good taste for someone so young, CBgaragebassist!

My 4-piece band would be:

Nick Cave (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) - Vocals
Mark Sandman (Morphine) - Bass
Marc Ribot (Lounge Lizards/Tom Waits/Cubanos Postizos)- Guitar
Tom Waits - Percussion / Vocals

... on the balads.

Basically, a band designed to give Robert Christgau an aneurysm.
