My dream bass is being built for me at the moment. Here's a quick rundown of what it will be once it's done.

Stambaugh SCNT4 "Bassnutz" model.

Mahogany body core
5 piece neck wenge/purpleheart/maple/purpleheart/wenge
Wenge fretboard
Highgloss finish
Bartolini pre
4 knob Vol push-pull active-passive/treble/mid/bass
4 switch pup selection/mid boost
Redwood burl top & back
3 Aero J Bass pickups w/matching redwood pup covers & ramp
Black Kahler tremolo bridge

I've waited 17 years to finally get me my custom dream bass.

Ive always wanted to own a rickenbacker 4003. Or any kind or colour.

I own part 1 of my dream collection: a black/black/maple musicman sterling.

Second, i want a nice fretless jazz bass, whether its a custom or whathaveyou, i havent decided on that yet.

Third, eventually, i will need a pre 98 Warwick thumb.

Hm, I don't have a dream bass at the moment. Maybe a Fodera, or somethin'. I don't know, I'm content with my Fender at the moment, I doubt a 14 year old needs more!

A double neck Ric with the top neck fretted and the bottom a fretless.
Cliff Bordwell's stuff looks pretty "dreamy" too.

That Redwood top is one of the most beautiful pieces of wood I´ve ever seen in my whole life

I can´t believe the way it looks.

well my dream bass is also on building process at a custom guitar shop.
It's gonna' be a six strings BG:

Body-mahogany with a maple top
Fretboard-maple
PU-2x bartolini XXM56M-T Pickup
Pre- aguilar with 5 knobs (bass/mid/high/volume/blend)+passive/active switch.
Bridge -full brass bridge.

Didn't deside if i should paint it or have Highgloss finish.
Well it's my dream bass but i'm out of money.
So maybe i'll do the color and finish at the same place later when i'll get save some money.

A bass with the body of a Ric and thunder-bird combined with a nice natural finish. I'd want it be neck-through too. If Bud Lecompte did neck throughs, i'd try to get it from him because he does some very very nice finishes.
