Dream Bass

My Yamaha TRB6II, wide spacing 6 string with an awesome finger style and slap tone with a tapping tone obtainable with a bass boost. Couldn't have asked for more except I wanna get a fretless 6 string now :(

Nice! As-soon-as you get that puppy commisioned, you have to keep us updated. :)
Yeah, I'm really looking forward to getting things started :D This is sort of what I have in mind, but in a 7:

Just a little more work on the kitchen & money will free up some ...........

Two Fenders for me; an MIA Deluxe Jazz Bass fretted, in Three-color sunburst with a tortoise shell pickguard, and an MIA Standard Jazz Bass fretless, in black with a tortoise shell pickguard, but with that fancy epoxy coating that Harris Thor does. Both strung with Rotosound Swing 66's, set up perfectly, and played until I die.

I'm a simple kind of guy. :)

I bought my dream bass this year!

Ever since the first time I saw one, I've wanted a StingRay. Finally I saw one at a time when I could (semi-) afford it, and snatched it up. It's the first bass I've owned and I was intimidated as hell trying to play it. I think it's finally starting to want to make friends with me. :)

My dream bass is in the mail. Maple Rickenbacker 4003!

I've wanted one since I started playing 5 years ago. I played one in a guitar shop two months after I got my first bass and I've been in love with them ever since.

Just have to wait til Friday for my precious to come in the mail.

I have a weakness for doublenecks. This is imo the only way to make it worthwhile.
A 5 string fretted neck and a 4 string fretless neck. The problem with the most doublenecks is the price,
thats why I'm happy to see one that is afforable to normal people :p

My bass is pretty much my dream, but I would like to add the following to it:

Hipshot D-Tuner
Neutrik Locking Jack
Iron Cross Inlays
Dragon Inlay on body
Glow-In-The-Dark side dots (for dimly lit stages)

I also wish I had a mid-frequency control, but meh.

I wonder how much adding those five things would cost? Hmm...

Graeme

EDIT: How does one go about getting an inlay or two done? Thanks.

my dream bass came in the mail today (shipped from fellow tb member marcusalan, no less).

Modulus Q4
- Bartolini Soaps
- Bart 2 Band EQ
- Correct # of strings

(crappy camera phone pic, will post some better ones in the pic thread after the digicam is done charging)

For the present time, for me it's probably a Roscoe SKB3006. Probably in the Cobalt Blue, but that could change. Something like this one.

I can't wait for the Holidays to come and go so I can lift my self-imposed moratorium on purchasing any more basses this year until I'm done with my X-Mas shopping and buy one of these gorgeous instruments! Heh heh
