...And it'll be mine, some day....

This bass finished in a grey/black burst would be about perfect to me! (minus the gold hardware)

Here's my dream bass.

pictures are still a little light, but you get the idea.

Here's a shot if looking at it while someone else is playing it.

I was just thinking about this today:

Sadowsky 5-string Reverse P/J pickups
Burgundy Burst color, ebony fretboard, black hardware

This color, but with 5-strings, reverse P/J, and ebony FB:

Of course, AJ's old bass was the inspiration, but the spalted top adds major $$$ to the price:

Well, I have an ash body (with quilted maple top), maple neck, ebony fingerboard P/J 5 on order, with one revese P pickguard (tort) and one regular P pickguard (mint) and a '59 burst. :) I asked Roger about black hardware (I am a big fan of black hardware) and he talked me into chrome on an instrument with some "vintage roots" to its look. I trust Roger comletely. He also suggested a vintage tint to the neck and headstock. :)

So, great minds think somewhat alike. ;)

Tom.

My dream bass is a Zon Sonus Custom 4 with the optional midrange control, in black with black hardware. I was never really into 'high-end' basses, and because of that I never checked out Zons until one day when I picked up a Sonus and played it. Long story short, it didn't take me long to realise that bass had everything I wanted. And in a few months, that dream will become reality. :hyper:

I've come to the conclusion that the Sadowsky Metro Ultra Vintage 70's bass in either a '59 Burst or Three tone burst with white binding and blocks is pretty much the end all be all of basses for me. Just so classic and cool-looking. And no question about the tone, playability and craftsmanship.

Here's a pic of one. :hyper:

If only someone would buy my Warwick already. :help:
