Dredge-Tone Bass Angler Tourbox Offer

lol. i'm like 5 minutes away from him then. if he wants to just meet up 'stead of shipping it, let him know he can call/email me to set that up.

damnit. did NOT need more gas.

this is a very cool thing! thanks for setting it up Tim!

god i'm all frazzled today. these three posts could easily have been one.

everybody in Cali - if we're doing these geographically, i don't mind driving a little bit to the next person (within reason) to save on shipping time/cost.

Mudder Butter - yah... i'm over in El Cerrito now. 'bout a 5 minute drive to Berkeley. still close to all the conveniences and awesomeness of Berk but rent is about half for twice as much space.
I grew up next to El Cerrito and went to high school there. Nice little community.

I remember when the Guitar Center moved in to the old House of Fabrics building after being off Ashby for so many years.

Good times.

Oh, and at the risk of being presumptuous, RCCollins and I can just meet up and exchange locally. If we time this right, I can even maybe demo it at the "upcoming" San Diego GTG and let a dozen people play with it.

yeah. i love it out here. i've traveled a bit through the US and some out country. other than Tokyo, Osaka or New York, i can't see being as happy in an area as this part of the Bay.

lol.... TECHNICALLY i'm in Richmond. i'm like 3 houses away from an El Cerrito/Richmond line. but saying Richmond makes people think it's the GHETTO out here. they don't realize the Hills are WAY different then the Triangle.

if there's a way to make this Angler end up with people going to the GTG in San Diego i think that would be smart. i don't mind getting moved around on the list to accommodate that. i missed the last GTG up here because of a show. bummed me out.

i'm thinking about trying to go down to the San Diego one. don't know if i can justify the flight for one day tho.

If you're in East Richmond you're actually within a mile of where I grew up (I was across the street from Mira Vista Elementary and Adams Middle School).

Small world.

No date has been established for the pending SD GTG, but no date has been established for the tourbox thing either. Hopefully there'll be some leeway to allow it. I think I was the only one who brought a pedalboard for the last one.:hmm:

If you do come down, I've got a cat urine scented couch you can crash on.:hmm:

we're 6 tb'ers away from closing this. maybe if the 1st one works well we can do a 2nd (with johns approval). i'll update the list tonight. i'll also do what i can as far a scheduling to coordinate with the SD GTG. john mentioned to me that he may have a unit for this as early as next week. i'm not going to say anythings definate, timewise, until he does though.

sweet.

Unrep - lol. i live about 3 blocks up Arlington from Adams! i grew up El C, Berkeley and El Sobrante, so i was surprised when we moved our business out here how nice the area is. i now live 2 doors down from work. it's.... a hard commute.

small world indeed!

yeah... i can really only justify the time off and travel expense if we play a couple shows in SD. so i'm gonna look into of my bandmate wants to do that.

thanks for the offer of the Aromatic Couch! that would actually bring back a LOT of youthful memories!!

still pi**ed at myself for missing the SF GTG last year.

behndy, i just checked your address and johns on google maps. you live 5 miles from "dredgetone headquarters". i will email him and ask him if he's cool with you meeting him. he might have the 1st one done real soon and i could at least get the CA section of the tourbox going. i can't believe how many of you live in CA. my band plays out of town a ton and i've never managed to get that far west. our drummer was in rusted root and used to play out there a lot.
