The presets and automatic RTA gimmick on those things are not that useful anyway.
The problem is that the mic is in one location and doesn't know if it is at a peak or a trough of a standing wave or cancellation pattern. You can run the RTA in several different places and try to do some averaging, but that quickly becomes cumbersome.
With a little experience your ears do a much better job of figuring out what they are actually hearing. I recommend having a few CDs and strong, clear opinions as to what they are supposed to sound like. That's your pink noise, your ears are the RTA.
