Drop B tuning

Has any of you fellow Warwick owners converted your 4 string from standard tuning to Drop B tuning? How did it affect the playability of the bass, and was it easy to convert back to standard tuning. I realize that I will have to have the nut converted for that tuning a will probably have to use tapered B Strings to fit the bridge, but will the conversion damage my bass in any way? Any and all tips are welcome.

It won't do any damage to your bass. You can file the E space on the nut for a bigger string to fit of you need to. I have heard of guys either filing the space on the bridge wider to prevent having to use tapered strings. In order to get a .135 gauge string on my 5er, I just squeezed the end of the string real tight with a pair of pliers to make it fit. Not sure how wide the gap for the string is on the 4 string bridges, though.
