I couldn't actually bring myself to punching Sam. He isn't that kind of person. He isn't arrogant. I was just angry. I hope he'll organise some more gigs for us and make it up to us......afterall he did offer to promote us like crazy, so we'll definetly take him up on the offer. We're gonna record over Summer and really get our act together. I think there's a bloody-minded determination in the band now to prove people wrong.Brendan said:*PUNCH*

southpaw1 said:Nick, is it too hard to think to yourself, "ok maybe that guy was kinda right - we aren't that tight, so probably didn't deserve to be on that bill" As far as I can tell, no one has dissed your band - they probably thought they were helping you with some advice, god forbid.

It seems to me that the only people that you can prove wrong are ones who said "You'll never be tight and professional" or that said "You ARE tight and professional". Most people have said "If you practice and work at it, you can become tight and professional"; you'd be proving them RIGHT - right, Nick?Nickthebassist said:...We're gonna record over Summer and really get our act together. Your goal and your resolve should stem from wanting to prove those people RIGHT.

Well his voice is getting better all the time. The one way to become a good singer is to SING. He's only ever gone out of tune once at a gig, and that was due to a faulty monitor so he couldn't hear himself. As for the promoter, why shouldn't we get him to give us gigs? It's his company. I know one guy who is the gig booker at a local venue(also lead vocalist in the metal band I might be joining) and he's offered to get us gigs whenever want them. However, until we get a demo recorded that we can send to venues, promoters seem our only choice.cheezewiz said:No offense to you Nick, but if you have the same singer that was on the cuts you posted a while back, I wouldn't book your band to do a 7th grade dance.
