The fact that marijuana is still illegal is a crime in itself. There have also been several studies and personal accounts suggesting concentrated hemp oil cures cancer.
I've been studying this subject for about a year, from industrial to recreational, health to organised crime due to illegal status and many more areas, it is the most unjust law in place today in my own opinion. We have the receptors in our brain for the chemical, why can we not have it?
I smoke almost everyday, there are no side effects. Short term memory loss and schizophrenic development are both not caused by marijuana/THC.
Problem is, it makes people think.
EDIT: Seeing LSD was mentioned, there were some great studies produced in the 60's with links between 'schizophrenia', psychosis and psychedelics, including LSD, which were making great ground until media coverage and government turned the drugs into a fear process and made them illegal.
