Thread-drift - from what I've read Ecstasy can cause the same kind of permanent brain damage that Meth causes. We're talking about serious brain damage here, kiddies. Meth and Ecstasy are almost the same drug both chemically and in the way they act on the mind. They overload the hell out of the pleasure receptors in the brain, and repeated recreational use can permanently damage these receptors. Long-term users of these drugs lose the cognitive ability to experience happiness or pleasure. No, thanks!
I agree that pot should be legal though popinfresh's post is hilariously ridiculous.
That's another thing that the study didn't account for. All the scores for danger to oneself and their environment weren't weighted. Meaning that even though half of smokers get cancer, tobacco's danger to other's dropped its score dramatically, whereas alcohol causes less direct damage to its user, but indirect damage and the potential damage to others pulled its average up a lot.
I am of the firm belief that marijuana should be legalized and taxed, but some of the others on that list need to remain schedule 1-4.
