Dry Clean only pants: is dry cleaning actually mandatory?

so I've got this pair of dress pants that I rather like, [bought em about a month ago], and they're dry clean only [I discovered this after buying them].

they are 70% Polyester and 30% Rayon. Can I get away with sticking them in a washing machine, maybe on a delicate cycle? I'd really rather not have to spend 10 bucks every time they need a wash.

You could wash them by hand with Woolite, and let them dry on a sweater drying rack. It's not really much work at all.

Woolite is laundry detergent that can be used for hand washing or machine washing.

If you like the pants looking right, have them dry cleaned, or get the home dry-clean kit.

As far as I know, poly/rayon blend doesn't need to be dry cleaned as it has a permanent press. If they're cheap pants and you don't need to look like the president, wash them at home. With the money you'd be spending on dry cleaning them, you could buy new pants after a a few washes. And I've thrown my poly/rayon pants in the washing mashine at least half a dozen times without a problem.
