Dual Jazz Pickups

I occasionally see pickups that look like two Jazz pickups mashed together. Some Fenders have them, Peavey Cirrus has them, etc. But I have never seen them for sale as independent
pickups from Bartolini or Nordstrand, etc. I see regular soap bars, Ps, Js, but never these dual Jazz pickups.

So I'm curious to know if there is a formal name for these pickups and where might one buy them?

Thx

They're not that common. I don't know what they're called but I suspect the easiest way to source them is to either find someone who is replacing theirs and snag the old ones, or just buy two full sets of Jazz pups and glue 'em together. That one sounds like fun, plus it leaves you options for interesting wiring schematics.

You might find some pre-owned pickups like that from a MIM Fender Blacktop:

You can buy covers: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Then put in whatever you want. Or glue pairs of pickups together...

As to why they're not more common, I don't know... but I guess soapbars and MM style pickups can fit such a coil configurerion and are more common already, so offer a better default option?

I'm not worried about whether they are common or not-- I know they are somewhat rare and that's fine. I'm mainly just curious if anyone sells a replacement for them.

Here's the closest I've been able to find, although I'm sure this won't fit the pickup rout for the Fender Modern Player basses and the Blacktop above. It's got a little strip between the two Jazz pups, so it will probably be too wide.
