the previous owner of the bass and case was a friend of jaco's in new york, he bought the case off him when he was short on cash and live on the streets in '86

yup... it does, its got a nice full tone and and a good punch growl. pickups are a greak match to the old school ash body

This is my Electra "Hotrod" project. Not only does it have the dual split P's, it also has the 80's 18v pre/booster. It really puts out a wide range of thunderous tones The neck is a fantastic, full, thick, wide P neck

(1) both pickups on full
(2) neck soloed
(3) bridge soloed
(4) bridge soloed with low-z switch engaged.

Next three clips are with a pick:
(1) both pickups on full
(2) neck soloed
(3) bridge soloed.

Everything was recorded through my normal clean rig--EBS Multicomp into PBDDI.

Nice!! I need to put together a recording system. I get a similar, powreful P tone tone with my Electra plus the old 80's era booster puts out a range of really FUZZY, WOOFY base tone to a very thin, almost tank tone It's similar to the varitone circuit on the old BC Riches.
