Double Bass Dual Pre Amp Di Blender with Eq???? SEARCH

Hey there,

I am looking for something quite specific.

A Dual Pre Di Box that can supply +48v to at least one channel and can blend between the two channels and that both channels have EQ.

I did found one once upon a time but my weeks of searching again have proved futile.

Its to blend a DPA 4099 and Piezo Pick Up of some kind maybe Wilson K1 on a double bass

An effects loop would be nice also

The D-TAR Soltice seems like the only one so far, but i remember seeing a more convenient option in the past..

I have a Headway EDB-1 and although it has the limitation of only one EQ channel, it does have two channel gain controls. The EQ Voicing of the Headway is very accurate. It only provides 18 volts to the phantom.
Schertler makes the Yellow Blender, a full two channel blender with all the bells and whistles. It has full two channel EQ and 48v phantom.

It costs $916.43. For that kind of money, you could buy a EA Doubler and save $200.00. The Headway is a high quality, great sounding, and cost effective blender.

The Schertler looks like fun as does the Headway!!
I will end up with the headway and a graphic peddle for the piezo pickup (probably a K1)
and then use the other channel for my DPA....
Its one of those games trying to find the right product for every possible situation.
I do remember seeing another brand and I am surprised I cant find it anymore..

There is another one, and I don't remember the name either, but it didn't have the features of the Headway. Incidentally, I have found that you don't really need any additional EQ with the EDB-1. It's a dual stage, Class A pre amp, with two FET's. It's signal is so strong that you can actually drive a powered speaker, with no additional tone shaping. The Graphic EQ would be redundant. Initially, I thought that I would miss the second set of EQ controls, but it works very well with just one.

Yeah, I guess I would have the second Eq simply to try and eliminate unwanted frequencies and also to have control in those shows where there is no sound engineer or a very small PA that doesn't offer much Eq...
Its really about having control and options for me....
