Dudes Who Use Hiwatt

I decided to start this thread out of curiosity. Entwistle, the dude who's name pops up when the words "Bass" and "Hiwatt" are mentioned together, used them biamped, Waters got a good clean tone out of them, Nick O'Malley uses them for distorted sounds.

I think John Deacon may have used them, anyone know? Anymore guys?

He split his bass signal to different amplifiers, which each had different EQ and gain settings, he didn't bi-amp. Bi-amping is using crossovers between special-purpose drivers to reproduce particular bandwidths. :bassist:

That said, The Ox had one hell of a sound Precision into Hiwatt. One of my favorites.

I would perfectly willing to be a dude who uses Hiwatt if someone would trade me for my Trace Elliot V6. I'm just putting that idea out into the bass universe.

I LOVE Hiwatts. I have used them quite a bit and they are tone beasts. We once played a festival in Toronto and were given Hiwatts to use 9thank you very much) and the guitarist's amp had "Lifeson" stenciled on the back. How cool is that?

I know Phil Lynott used a Custom Hiwatt 100 along with another head that I can't recognize, could be an Ampeg, at least once while on tour. Here he is in a Thin Lizzy documentary.
