I agree.I absolutely love the sound and look of this bass. The 3 single coil pickups, one in every placement I could hope for, long scale, and eye-wateringly gorgeous design... There's nothing quite like it out there.
I almost bought one a while back, but missed it literally by minutes, possibly seconds. Sigh.
Bloody expensive, but not quite in "are you out of your mind?" territory. They don't seem to be making it anymore, which sucketh. It's about as close to my pipe dream ideal bass as I've seen.
I was very taken with them too. IMO, they represented the perfect combo of (a) beautiful art-deco aesthetics meeting (b) great semi-hollow body tone, but alas, they were unavailable in Australia at the time (otherwise I'd own one). Unfortunately, none of the other Duesenberg offerings float my boat.
