Duesenberg Dropkick Murphys Bass

Well done! The video and audio quality were fine. I thought you covered all the important points and the variety of available tones very well.

I would have liked to hear a bit more about the neck profile/feel. Maybe a bit about the set-up, mentioning how easy/difficult it was to get the action where you wanted it and the quality of hardware.

Also, it would have been nice to extend the playing over more of the fingerboard, including some open strings. Maybe some melodic playing that used the G string too.

Thanks for the feedback!

About the setup:
All of their basses are PLEK'd at the factory, so they come with a very easy-to-play setup.

Regarding the melodic playing, I will consider doing that in the future!
However, considering that for 95% of the time our job as bass players is to play bass lines, listening to how the bass sounds doing that has a higher priority, in my opinion at least.

That’s good to know, about the Plekking.

Regarding the melodic bit: Nothing fancy, it’s just that I didn’t hear the G string , and was interested to get that. Nothing major. All good!

I forgot one thing: If you know what kind of strings it’s got on it, that would be cool to know. Thanks again!!

Gotcha, good to know! :) Thank you!

The string are Duesenberg's own short scale strings. Gauges: 50-70-85-110

Thanks for the Demo. Great to hear how the bass sounds. I am waiting for mine to arrive. You also did a great job on the Triton review. For me the Triton is completely understimated. My favorite bass of my set of eight and the one I used most of the time
