Needed to replace the 1/4" input jack on my Warwick, which was making pops because the input hole had some play in it. Havent had time to order replacement.

Quick fix for gig.

Take a strip of clear adhesive tape and wrap exactly one thickness around jack. Push plug into hole. Tape should squish down to bottom and put tension on plug, enough to stop popping, unless you really wiggle it.

Dumb, but it works.

When I was 14 and first learning on my high school's POS cheapie, I fixed it with sticky tape all the time.

My Dad has an expression that comes to mind. If you can't fix it with super glue and/or duct tape, buy a new one!!

I carry duct tape and electrical tape to every gig.... usually whatever goes wrong I can fix it with one of those.
